Abstract beginnings using broad brush work are contrasted by small areas of painted detail. Sections of the canvas are covered with layers of thick paint where objects and patterns are scraped into the surface.

Without being too narrative or explicate about a particular idea, the arrangement of each painting corrals together a feeling of a personal history - where random passages of imagery congeal into something different for each viewer.
"I'm experimenting with juxtapositions of dissimilar information...not unlike William S Burroughs' cut-ups."
Another way of looking at his work exposes tonal varieties within the horizontal strips; one may think of the unique patterns seen in DNA sequencing.
